When rekeying makes sense
Rekeying is a practical way to take back control of who can get in. Common reasons our Miami customers call:
- You just moved into a home or apartment and don't know who still has a key.
- Keys were lost or stolen.
- A roommate, tenant, contractor or employee no longer needs access.
- After a break-in, together with a check of the doors and locks.
- You want one key to open several doors (when the locks are compatible).
Pricing

What to have ready
- How many locks you want rekeyed, and which doors.
- The brand of the locks if you know it (for example Schlage or Kwikset).
- Whether you want all doors to work with one key.
- A working key for each lock, if you have one, and access to every door on the day of service.
For offices and buildings, see our commercial locksmith page, including master key systems.
